We used up a lot of straws in the house and it's just a huge waste. I went ahead and gave these stainless steel straws a try since they will help prevent further plastic waste. I have a 30 oz tumbler and this straw is a good fit since some of the other straws may be a tad shorter making it difficult to drink from.
My main concern was that they will have some metallic taste. After washing them with the included brush, I gave it a quick test with a cold drink. The straw itself felt cold and the drink was definitely quite refreshing. I have been using these for several months now and drank various liquids with it and have not once tasted anything metallic.
The brushes are quite sturdy so they do a pretty good job cleaning out the insides of the straw.
Overall, very satisfied with this purchase and have recommended them to family and friends.
